MABEL ANTONICHUK (published on February 06, 2010)



MABEL ANTONICHUK Mabel Antonichuk (nee Chomica) passed away on January 29, 2010 at the age of 90. Mourning her loss are her daughters Sonia (Richard) Graboski of Winnipeg and Eugenia (Michael) McShane of Ottawa; grandchildren, Chrissie Graboski (Greg Krausnick) of Calgary, Lisa Graboski (Mark Abernethy) of Toronto, Lin McShane of Ottawa and Wil McShane of British Columbia. She is also survived by her sweet great-grandson, Oskar Abernethy of Toronto. Mabel is fondly remembered by her sisters Mary (Mazur) Luba of Russell, Nettie Yarmey of Toronto, her brother Maurice of Sarnia, her sister-in-law Nettie Parsons of Burlington and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William, in 1996, her mother Anne in 1950 and her father Nikola in 1979. She was also predeceased by her brother Bill in 1984 and her brother Mike and his wife Marie in 1991. Mabel was born in 1919 in Rossburn, Manitoba. She married William Antonichuk in 1945. She loved her family and couldn't do enough for them. She was so accomplished at everything she did her home was immaculate, her dinners were superb, she was beautiful inside and out. We loved her very much. We will miss her dearly. Memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., on Monday, February 8 at 10:00 a.m. with an interment and reception to follow. The family would like to thank the staff at West Park Manor, especially those in 1 South and her caring companion Chris Elinesos.
