ADELINA IMBROGNO (published on February 06, 2010)

ADELINA IMBROGNO (nee DERose) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Adelina Imbrogno on February 2, 2010 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her husband Eugenio Imbrogno in 1997 and by her son Frank in 2009. Adelina leaves to morn her son Joseph, her daughter Felicia (Tony DeLuca) her grandchildren Robert, Alexandria (Amedeo), Carla and Simon; her sister Amelia in Italy, her sister-in-law Mathilda DeRose in Winnipeg and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives in Canada, Italy and the USA. Adelina was born in Lappano Cosenza, Italy on January 31, 1919, the youngest of 12 children. She married Eugenio in 1946 and they immigrated to Canada with their young family in 1959. Adelina was a gentle and peaceful woman, loving, kind, generous and a dedicated and nurturing mother. Her devotion to her Catholic faith was always a source of strength and it brought her much comfort in her latter years as her health was failing. Mom was happiest when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She cherished every one of us as we cherished her. Her wisdom and guidance, her sense of humour and her unconditional love for all of us will be sadly missed. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass.
