HENRY (HEINRICH) KLASSEN After a brief illness, Dad passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Health Sciences Centre on February 13, 2010. Dad was born February 11, 1922, in Osterwick, Ukraine. He immigrated to Canada in 1948, where he spent most of his working years at Carter Temro, retiring in 1987. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary, his sons Henry (Valerie) and Gerhard, and his daughter Ann (Ken). Also surviving him are grandchildren Matthew (Sonja), Geneva (Tony), Sam (Cindy), Andrew and Sara, plus great-grandchildren, Thea and Eyvind. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Gloria, his parents and two sisters. Our sincerest thanks to the first floor staff at Calvary Place for their excellent care of Dad. Also thanks to the staff on GH-7 for easing Dad's last days. Dad's funeral will be Thursday, February 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church with interment in the Church Cemetery in Springstein. Viewing at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Place Personal Care Home, or a charity of your choosing. |
