| LIZZIE VIOLA SMITH (MICHAUD) On February 13, 2010, at the age of 65, Lizzie Smith passed away peacefully at the Selkirk General Hospital. Lizzie was born in Selkirk on September 18, 1944. She was predeceased by two infant brothers, her parents Tom and Ruth Michaud, her brother Tommy, an infant niece, Denise, sister-in-law Sharon Michaud, and her mother and father-in-law, Sarah and Jacob Smith. Lizzie spent her final days with her husband Edward, daughters Donna and Rhonda, granddaughter Cydney and great-nephew Trey. Also surviving are eight brothers Finley, Sidney (Ivonne), James (Lila), Alfred (Joann), Barry, Stanley (Julie), Mervin (Rhonda) and Ernie (Bev), her only sister Teresa, her sister-in-law Edith and many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews, and extended family. Lizzie lived a happy, peaceful life, her loving compassion and devotion will be sorely missed. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, February 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Pastor Ray Settee officiating. Interment at a later date in Stead, MB.
