| ANNA POHAJDAK It is with great sadness that the family of Anna Pohajdak announces her passing at the Seven Oaks General Hospital on February 16, 2010. Anna will be greatly missed by her children Mary (Walter), Bill (Gloria), Irene, and Bohdan. She will also be remembered lovingly by her grandchildren, Timothy, Melissa, Katie, Katrina, and Sabrina. Anna was predeceased by her husband John in 1978 and her parents Ivan and Eufrozyna Wysznewcky. Anna was born in the town of Lachwa, region Polesije, Poland, May 6, 1930. After the Second World War, Anna and her parents immigrated to Skipton, England. There, she met and married John Pohajdak. Eventually, John and Anna immigrated to Winnipeg in order to work and raise a family. Anna will always be remembered as a kind and gentle soul and loving mother and grandmother. The family wishes to thank the staff on the 5th floor, unit 7 of the Seven Oaks General Hospital for their compassionate care of Anna during her brief illness. In keeping with Anna's wishes, a private family service will take place at Cropo Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. Father Isidore Dziadyk, OSBM will officiate at the funeral service. If so desired, donations in memory of Anna may be made to the charity of your choice. VICHNAYA PAM'YAT 586-8044 |
