Phebe is survived by her husband, Castillo Bobby ; daughters, Kristine (Steve) and Katherine (C.J.); and her grand dogs Rusty, Cody, Patch and Robe. She was predeceased by her parents Pelagio Irao and Patrocino Caballero and sister Philinore (Delano) Lota. Born in Kalibo, Aklan, Philippines, Phebe pursued a career in nursing. In 1968, she graduated in the top of her class from University of St. Thomas in Manila, Philippines. In 1973, she left the comfort of home with a suitcase and her guitar to begin her journey to The Pas, Manitoba, where she started her nursing career. With Bobby at her side, they spent 31 years in The Pas building their life together. Her career was spent working at St. Anthony's Hospital and St. Paul's Nursing Home until they decided to move to Winnipeg to be closer to their daughters in 2004. Phebe was an incredible wife and mother who always put everyone first. She was a beautiful musician, a fantastic cook and overall a great entertainer. She will be greatly missed by all. Our family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at 3East, of the Riverview Health Centre and Hospice and Palliative Care Manitoba for their compassion, caring and support over the last few months.
