| MARGARET MARTHA DELAINE (nee MARKS) Peacefully, with family by her side, Margaret Delaine passed away on February 22, 2010 at the Grace Hospital at 94 years. Margaret is predeceased by her husband John Delaine; her father and mother Edward and Margaret Marks; sister Valerie Theobald as well as her brother Edward. Margaret is survived by her daughters Peggy (Don) McCauley of Kelowna, BC, Susan Delaine of Saskatoon, SK; grandchildren Chad and Tammy; great-grandchildren Taylor and Cyrus; her dearly beloved pet and companion Gizmo; nephew Mark (Charlene) Theobald; niece Carolyn (Normand) Vien of Montreal, and dear friends Tom Finney and Frankie Bancroft. Margaret grew up in Elmwood and attended St. Mary's Academy and later Gordon Bell High School. She married her high school sweetheart and started a family in 1944. Margaret loved the piano, gardening, needle point, and watching sports. She enjoyed raising her family and spending many wonderful years with her husband until his passing in 1983. A special thank you goes out to Dr. Silha, Dr. Joshua and the wonderful nursing staff on the 5th floor of the Grace Hospital and Dr. Johnson and his staff at CancerCare. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Margaret's memory to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, 304 - 1 Wesley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Anglican Church, 3830 Roblin Blvd. Interment will take place at a later date.
