DENNIS JOSEPH HENRY FONTAINE (published on February 25, 2010)



DENNIS JOSEPH HENRY FONTAINE On February 23, 2010 our father Dennis Joseph Henry Fontaine, at the age of 68 years, began his journey to the spirit world. After a lengthy and courageous battle he left us with dignity and grace intact. He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory beloved children Lonnie, Carl, Hilaire (Sonja), Michelle, Joan (Kevin), Nathalie (Eric) numerous grandchildren, great-grandchild, brothers James, Bert (Terry), Phil, sisters Thelma (Duncan) Audrey, in-laws Ruth, Janet, Deanna, Debbie, Murray, Jack and Wesley and numerous relatives, friends and special grandchild Shania. He was predeceased by his parents J.B. and Agnes Fontaine, loving wife Frances Fontaine, daughter Denise Fontaine, granddaughters Elischia and Roanna, infant brother, brothers Hilaire, Clement, Marcel, Elmer, Walter, sisters-in-law Verna, Mary, Jessie. He will be remembered for his kindness and good nature. His home was always open for family and friends. His unique sense of humour, laughter and storytelling kept everyone wanting more. What we heard and saw in him showed us the many ways of enjoying life. We want to thank Fredrika Ballantyne, Geraldine Kent, Evelyn Guimond, Debbie Stucky of Sagkeeng Home Care for their sincere compassion and caregiving in our fathers time of need. Special appreciation to sisters Thelma and Audrey for their care giving. Wake began on Wednesday, February 24 at the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church in Sagkeeng First Nations. Funeral services Friday, February 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church, Sagkeeng First Nation. Pallbearers: Active - Dean Fontaine, EJ Fontaine, Marcel Thomas, Mike Fontaine, Jerry Fontaine, Todd Fontaine; Honorary - All His Grandchildren.
