| KYLA JEANETTE TOMES April 4, 1982 - February 19, 2010 It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful Kyla. Kyla was the youngest of two daughters born to Lael Cooper and Jim Tomes. Kyla was also the youngest of her blended family. She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Lael and Ken Cooper, and Jim and Carol Tomes, her sisters Tiffany Tomes (Rich McKinley), and Jen Howe (Scott Lancaster), her brother Mark Howe (Charlene), niece Jaiden, grandmother Christina Tomes, close friend Naomi Davis and Kyla's pets, whom she loved. Also left to cherish her memory are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Kyla had a heart of gold. She had an endless passion for the welfare of animals and aspired to be a veterinary technician. Although Kyla didn't have many material possessions she always went out of her way to give to others. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the many family and friends for their love and support through this difficult time, as well as to the emergency workers and the Winnipeg Police Service for their compassion on Friday morning. A memorial service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home on Saturday, February 27 at 2:00 p.m., 4477 Main St., Winnipeg.
