WILLIAM (BILL) ADAMSON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Adamson on February 21, 2010 after a brief illness at the Health Sciences Centre, with his family at his side, at the age of 79 years. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Evelyn; his sons Doug (Bernadine), Rob (Elaine) and the love of his life, his grandson Scott. Bill is survived by his brothers Barney, Joe, Tom and Frank (Janet) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his son Jimmie, his parents John and Agnes, sisters-in-law Gwen and Diane. Bill was born on November 7, 1930 at home with a midwife, Mrs. Hill. He was raised in Elmwood and went to school at St. Alphonsus and St. Paul's School and was a life long member at St. Gerards Parish. Bill worked for Progress Candy and then at Eaton's as a candy maker/baker for 40 years and he retired in 1992. Special thanks to the Doctors and staff at CancerCare and Health Sciences Centre (GH5) for their loving and compassionate care they provided throughout his stay. Prayers will be held on February 27 at 10:30 a.m. with mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gerards Parish, 45 Foster Street with Father Pierre Wood officiating.
