ROBERT (BOB) RASEY WILSON (published on February 27, 2010)

ROBERT (BOB) RASEY WILSON, C.A. It is with deep sadness that the family of Bob Wilson announces his peaceful passing on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, just five days shy of his 70th birthday. His loss will be felt by his wife of 47 years, Beth; his children, Steve (Bonnie), Lee-Anne, Chris (Rissa) and Bonnie (Brett); their children, Heather, Danielle, Cameron, Katie and Stephen; his sisters, Barbara Chase (Robert), June Cooper (Bill) and Shelley Henry; his brother Chris (Susan); Beth's sister Cathy Hamilton (Bill); Beth's brothers, Ed Charter and Bruce Charter (Erica), many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Marguerite Wilson; in-laws, Harry and Kay Charter; niece Andrea Wallace; and sister-in-law Pat Charter. Bob was born in Montreal, Quebec where his Dad was stationed during the war. Upon his Dad's discharge, his family returned to Winnipeg, where he spent most of his life, with the exception of a couple of adventures to Leaf Rapids, MB and Vancouver, BC. He can boast of many amazing accomplishments; four incredible children, a successful career in private practice that was dominated by integrity and genuine concern for his clients and enthusiastic and extensive support of the many organizations in which his family was involved, to name a few. His large extended family meant the world to him and the lineups of visitors outside his hospital door during his last few days provided him with much pleasure. He surely will be missed but certainly not forgotten. Those who knew Bob will remember him as a generous, welcoming and giving man. We would like to thank the dedicated staff on the fourth floor of Victoria Hospital and his family doctor and friend, Terry Gwozdecki for their excellent care and support. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Dr. with Rev. Father Carl Tarnopolski celebrant. A reception for family and friends will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, a donation in Bob's memory to the Cerebral Palsy Association of Manitoba Inc., 105-500 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3X1 would be greatly appreciated.
