MARLENE LORETTA SPENCE (published on March 06, 2010)
MARLENE LORETTA SPENCE April 26, 1935 - March 1, 2010 Marlene was the eldest daughter of Hilton and Toni Spence of 24 Inkster Avenue and sister to Janice Dulcie Shott. Marlene lived with her parents and attended Luxton School until their passing when she then lived with her sister and brother in law, Nick, in St. Andrews. At twelve years of age, Marlene suffered with meningitis and became mentally challenged. Marlene loved to ride her bike, do some shopping at the grocery store for Mom, watch movies at the Deluxe Theatre, and complete her many jig saw puzzles. Later on, she was employed at Skills Unlimited and Arc lndustries, until physical limitations prevented continued employment. Marlene went to live in Betel Home in Selkirk and then to Middlechurch Home where she was very happy and enjoyed all the staff. We wish to thank the nurses, the activity persons, and all who looked after her. A big thank you for your care and consideration. Cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held. |
