| SIMONE RICARD (nee LABELLE) 1915 - 2010 It is with great sorrow, that the family announces the passing of Simone Ricard on February 26, 2010 at Foyer Valade in Winnipeg, MB, into her eternal rest through heaven's gates. She was 94 years old and will be lovingly missed by her only son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Ethel Ricard, grandsons Gary (Sonya) Ricard and Rick (Tracy) Ricard and granddaughter Darlene (Kelly) Harrison, her five great-grandchildren, niece and nephews and numerous dear friends. Simone was born May 18, 1915 in St. Jean Baptiste, MB and was predeceased by her beloved husband Raoul Ricard, five brothers, four sisters and many relatives. She married Raoul on September 19, 1934 and they celebrated 65 years of marriage. Simone was dearly loved by everyone she encountered, and had an excellent sense of humour. She lived to the end with a quiet grace, strength and dignity. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Foyer Valade for their compassion and care to Simone. A very special thank you to Tracy, her own special nurse, for all her care throughout her illnesses. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
