FRANKLIN ROXY DUVAL May 20, 1917 March 2, 2010 After a brief illness on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, the Lord called Frank, a good and faithful servant Home. Remaining to forever cherish Frank's memory are his daughters, Darlene Duval and Cathie Rowley (husband Dick Hatfield); five grandchildren, Lois Eamer, Travis Williams, Scott Williams, Dale Rowley (wife Nancy), and Heidi Rowley (wife Irena); three great-grandchildren (Dale and Nancy Rowley) Andrea, Jacob, and Kimberly; two great great-grandchildren (Andrea and Ian) Ryan, and Alyssa. He was predeceased by his loving wife Madge and beloved son Douglas. Frank was born in Dauphin, MB and grew up in Winnipeg. After serving as a flight instructor during the Second World War, he moved to Bissett, MB where he met and married Madge. During their last years in Bissett, Frank owned Currie Transportation, and was an active and valuable member of the community. He then moved to Thompson, MB working for Northern Affairs, overseeing the construction of remote airfields. Frank and Madge retired to Dominion City, MB where they were soon well known and active community members. After the passing of his beloved wife Madge, Frank spent his last years living in Winnipeg where he was a lively member of the Blumberg golf course. He was also an avid curler and a dynamic member of Sturgeon Creek United Church. Frank lived his life with passion, vigour, and an unwavering faith. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. In compliance with Frank's wishes a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 in Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Avenue. A private family interment will be held at a later date, where he will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Madge and son Doug. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, Unit 1-452 Dovercourt Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3Y 1G4.
