| STEVE KABEZ We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of Steve Kabez, Thursday March 4, 2010 at Concordia Hospital at age 81. Steve was born May 10, 1928 in Libau, Manitoba. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Joyce, sons Larry (Norine), David (Juanita), Wayne (Heather), Grant (Gabbie), daughter Cathy (Randy), grandchildren Brady, Sherrie and her daughter Jordan, Brittany and Haley. Steve also leaves to mourn brother Mitch (Noreen) and sister Irene (Gene), as well as many nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends. Steve was employed by Canada Post until his retirement. Steve had a very strong work ethic. He provided well for his wife and children. Steve enjoyed entertaining family and friends. He loved music, dance, fishing, playing pool, sitting in the sun. Steve had a great sense of humour, was spotless in grooming and care of his belongings. He was a strong family man all his life, spending time with his wife and children. We all recall weekly rides to Lockport for a hot dog, chip and a coke . He was proud of his Ukrainian heritage, and he especially enjoyed Mom's cooking. Special thanks to Dr. Carey Isaac, as well as all staff at Concordia Hospital who helped Dad throughout his illness. Steve will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Rest in Peace, We Love You! Cremation has taken place and as per Steve's wishes there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. |
