EVELYN KOSTIUK (published on March 10, 2010)

EVELYN KOSTIUK With great sadness we announce that our mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on March 7, 2010. She will be sadly missed by her three daughters: Cheryl (Harold), Evelyn (Roy), and Pam (Kraig); her sister Bernice; and grand-children: Ashley, Allison, Kelsey, Karly, Zack and Madison. Evelyn enjoyed going to the lake, chatting with the neighbours, and planting flowers in her flower beds. But most of all, she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. What the grandchildren will remember are the regular sleepover parties she would have with all of them. They always came, regardless of how old they were getting. The last one was in November, just before she got sick. They had pizza, tons of goodies, and played games until they all got tired. She always made sure that the kids never left her house without a bag of treats. A day never went by where one of them didn't call or stop in to see her. What the daughters will remember was her love for shopping, and how she loved just to look, and go down each aisle. She was inspirationally strong, caring, and had a deep faith in God. These things silently touched our lives. Thank you Mom, for passing on these lovely traits to your three daughters. You will be sadly missed by all of us. We love you Mom. A special thank you to a few caring nurses: Patrice, Kelly and Kristina, and the ICU nurses, as well as the health care aides, in particular Paul, who mom lovingly called her angel. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 11, 2010, 12:30 p.m. at Calvary Temple (Buntain Chapel), 400 Hargrave Street. Arrangements entrusted to: KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson Hwy. 338-0331 Send expressions of sympathy at www.klassenfuneralhome.com
