ALDO PANCIERA It is with deep sadness we announce that Aldo Panciera of Penticton, BC, beloved husband, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend has passed to eternal life March 8, 2010, with family by his side. Aldo, born in Pescara, Italy, March 7, 1939, is survived by his wife Mary-Ann, of 39 years, his dear family in Pescara, Italy: sister Rina (Umberto) Santavenere, nieces, Rita (Menotti) Macchia, Angela (Osman) Cicalo; nephews, Luciano (Lidia) Santavenere, Andrea (Loretta) Santavenere; great-niece Marzia Macchia (Marco); great-nephews, Matteo (Antoinetta) Macchia, Daniele Santavenere, Alberto Santavenere, and Aldo's little angels, great-great-nieces, Vittoria, Elena, and Beatrice Macchia. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Martha Hnatishin of Hazelridge, MB, sisters-in-law; Maria Panciera and Alice Panciera of Winnipeg, MB, Donna Hnatishin of Anola, MB, Christine (Stan) Barta of Hadashville, MB, Karen Hnatishin (Bill Kaye) of Penticton, BC; brothers-in-law, David Hnatishin of Dugald, MB, James (Michele) Hnatishin and Mark (Susan) Hnatishin of Hazelridge, MB and Walter (Linda) Petik of Winnipeg, MB, 11 nephews, seven nieces, four great-nephews and a great-niece from Manitoba, Alberta, California, and Nevada. Aldo was predeceased by his parents: Carlo and Lucia; brothers, Roberto, Roger, and Enrico; father-in-law John Hnatishin and brother-in-law Gerald Hnatishin. Aldo immigrated to Canada in May, 1962, lived and worked in Winnipeg, MB until a move to Penticton, BC in 1988 where he retired. Aldo was proud of his Italian heritage and Penticton became home as it reminded Aldo of his beloved Pescara, Italy. He enjoyed his many old and new found friendships and derived much pleasure from visits with family and friends over the years. Aldo Zio Aldo Uncle Aldo will be greatly missed. He will live in our hearts for his generosity, his fun-filled nature and especially his love. Pace per eternita, caro! Sincerest gratitude for the kindness and compassionate care provided by doctors and staff at the Penticton Regional Hospital. Prayers will be said at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 1296 Main Street, Penticton, BC on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Mass on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. St. Ann's Church, with Reverend Pat Monette, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, memorial donations would be appreciated to Discovery House and/or Birthright Penticton, c/o St. Ann's Church, 1296 Main St., Penticton, BC V2A 5G2.
