WALTER LEO SINE (published on March 20, 2010)
WALTER LEO SINE July 13, 1928 March 16, 2010 It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of Walter after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Left to remember and cherish his kindness and love are his brother Orest and sisters, Dorothy, Marie, Elsie and Anne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Geoff (Lisa) who was like a son to him. He was predeceased by his parents and six siblings. Growing up in Saskatchewan he worked on the family farm near Yorkton and later successfully operated the new one near Tisdale until it was sold. He then located to Winnipeg and began his career in the Automobile Industry. Quickly rising to Management, he was well known and respected in the business. Retiring in 1994 from Birchwood Moors, Walter maintained his passion by owning and operating W.L. Auto until his untimely passing. He will long be remembered as a strong, loyal and generous man. The family extends their gratitude to the WRHA Palliative unit and all the staff on 3E at Riverview for their unfaltering support of Walter during his illness. Please know how much we appreciated your hugs. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in his memory could be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
