| EDWARD SIKORA (EDDIE) May 3, 1937 March 13, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Sikora on March 13, 2010 at the Selkirk General Hospital at the age of 72. He is survived by his brothers Henry (Audrey), Roman and David, and by his sister Helen Byzuk (Steve), several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Edna in 1973 and his father Stanley in 1986. Eddie grew up on the family farm in Birds Hill, Manitoba. As a young man, he enjoyed many years working on the farm, helping his Mom and Dad and his brothers. Later on, Eddie moved to Selkirk, Manitoba where he lived out his remaining years. Eddie really enjoyed smoking his pipe, listening to old music and playing his harmonica. He always had a great story to tell and he just loved talking to people. Eddie will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Edward's life will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Interment will follow in the Ukrainian National Cemetery, Springfield, MB. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. |
