ROGER LLOYD LEPAGE (published on March 23, 2010)

ROGER LLOYD LEPAGE May 7, 1937 - March 20, 2010 Roger died peacefully on the first day of spring with family by his side. A lovely man who embraced life, he was dearly loved and will be remembered with tremendous fondness. Roger is survived by his wife, Lynn; children Nick (Patty Anne), Amanda (Mike), Teresa (Brent), Jill (Kevin), Susan (Geoff); grandchildren Zachary, Tessa, Natalie, Emily and a new one on the way; sister, Gillian (Alan) and many wonderful friends. Roger was born in Guernsey and came to Canada as a child with his mother and sister when the island was invaded during the war. He spent his early childhood in Montreal and on the Isle of Orleans, returning to England and Guernsey when the war was over. As an adult, he brought his family back to Canada, settling in Winnipeg. Roger pursued his interests with passion and intensity: coaching Marlins swim team, gardening, cooking, photography, family history, maintaining his fitness after a heart transplant in 1999. Our family is grateful for the skilled and excellent support of all the doctors and nurses involved in his care over the years. A private celebration of Roger's life will take place at a future date. Roger would be happy if you thought of him the next time you went for a swim, took a walk or did some gardening. If desired, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Heart Transplant Clinic.
