LORNA BRIGHAM (published on April 10, 2010)
LORNA BRIGHAM Our family is saddened by the sudden passing of our mother, grandmother and sister on March 30, 2010 at 80 years of age. She was predeceased by her infant daughter Alexandria, parents Elsie and Alexander McLeod and sister Carol. She is survived by her sister Barbara (Glen) Manning, brother Don (Barb) McLeod and their families, her sons Dennis (Gail) and James (Gail) and grandchildren, Curtis, Simon, Elizabeth, Emily, Maura, and Clare. Mom made long lasting friendships during her career at Victoria Hospital. Her favourite places to spend time included Wildwood Park, Falcon Lake, St. Ambroise and St. Laurent. Lorna, in her 40s, traveled to Scotland, Columbia and the Caribbean continuously feeding her thirst for adventure. Lorna learned to sail and purchased a sailboat to complement her beloved summers at Falcon Lake and Lake Manitoba. In Lorna's final year, she took up kayaking, and got an internet connection to facilitate her research into whatever subjects she fancied. Such was her life. Lorna was adventurous, curious, generous, and always moving forward. Lorna will be missed by Butch and Chuckie, her canine companions. In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to the Humane Society. A private interment will take place. Toodaloo', Grandma |
