BERNARD R. KELLY July 2, 1939 April 8, 2010 Bernard R. Kelly passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Victoria General Hospital. Bernie spent his school years in Winnipeg where he attended St. Mary's and St. Paul's High School. In 1965 at Edmonton, Alberta, Bernie joined the Franciscan Order of the Friars Minor where he attended classes and was a member of the Franciscan community for six years. After leaving the order in 1970, Bernie met his wife Jackie. He is survived by his loving wife Jackie, his daughter Darlene (Roger) Allen, Laurel Stefura, Randy (Cathy) Kelly, and extended family Ken (Marlene) McCullough. He is also survived by a number of first cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Bernie was predeceased by his father, Bernard James (1976) and his mother, Betty Neota Rule (1983). He was proud of his six grandchildren, Ian and Amanda McCullough, Christopher and Daniel Stefura, Stephanie and Nicholas Kelly. Always wanting to hear what happened on the Mustang Field' on game days. Mass celebrating the life of Bernie will be held on Wednesday, April 14 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Brebeuf Parish, 1707 John Brebeuf Place with Monsignor Ward Jamieson V.G. officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Flowers are gratefully declined.
