LEASK PRUDEN (published on April 13, 2010)

LEASK PRUDEN November 22, 1934 - April 10, 2010 With heavy hearts we announce that after a short illness, our husband, dad and gramps passed away on April 10, 2010 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Left to miss him forever is his wife of 45 years, Barbara, children Raymond (Lana), Brenda and Anne (Harry), grandchildren Brent (Michelle), Sarah (Keli), Leask, Alexandra, Justine and Tristan. Also sister-in-law Babs Pruden and in-laws the Sprechert family, along with numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Waiting to greet dad with a cup of tea is his whole family - his parents David and Mary and 15 older siblings. We are comforted knowing the Pruden family is together again. Dad was born at Poplar Park, Manitoba and was the youngest of a large, loving family. He married his sweetheart, Barbara, on October 24, 1964. They resided in Winnipeg raising their family while dad worked at Sheas, Labatts and ABD. Dad's happiest time was retiring to Patricia Beach (God's country) where him and mom enjoyed life to the fullest. Gramps loved his grandchildren to no end and was especially happy to be around family and friends - laughing, joking and telling old stories. He enjoyed gospel and country music and was a strong believer in his faith. Dad loved his family so much as we did him and we will carry his love with us forever. The family wishes to thank the family and friends who have given dad and us so much love and support. Prayer services will be Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 1567 William Avenue West, Winnipeg. Funeral service also at St. Thomas Anglican Church on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at St. James Anglican Church, Poplar Park. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Prairieland Funeral Home in Care of Arrangements 447 Selkirk Ave 226-7581 or 1-866-661-7555
