JOHN DEAN (SKIP) KAPUSTA 1957 - 2010 With profound sorrow, our family announces the unexpected, sudden passing, on March 12, 2010 of our beloved son, Geologist John Dean Kapusta Skip . John was born in old Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Growing up in St. James, and graduating from the University of Manitoba. John then continued his passion of geology. John's work and travels have taken him to all corners of the globe: Ireland, Africa, South America, Mexico, Panama, U.S.A., Germany, Manitoba, Alberta, BC, Ontario and the Yukon. John's most recent position was the Vice President of Geology for Chariot Resources Limited, a Toronto listed junior mining company. John worked in Peru for Andes Resources Compania Minera, a direct subsidiary of Chariot. His role was leading the geology and exploration activities of the companies Peruvian interests. John contributed greatly to geological advancement and positive feasibility of the Mina Justa project. Cherished memories of his life will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Joy Fogg-Kapusta and John Kapusta; his sisters, Kathy Kapusta of Winnipeg and Shauna Kapusta (Yugesh Narain) of Maple Ridge, BC; his brother Sean Kapusta (Rhonda Ewanyshyn-Kapusta) of Winnipeg; his niece Alaysha Rocan; his nephews, Nathan Rocan and Dustin Ewanyshyn; and his Uncle Ray Fogg of Oak View Place, Winnipeg. John leaves behind his two adorable children, Brandy and John III, and wife Carolina Kapusta. His cousins, Gary Fogg (Audrey) and their daughter Miranda, Todd Fogg (Melinda) of Michigan, Robert Fogg of Las Vegas, and many dear friends from all over the world, will sadly miss John. The celebration of life was on April 6, 2010 at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, mailed to the: John D. Kapusta Trust Fund Assiniboine Credit Union Crestview Branch 140-3393 Portage Avenue Winnipeg, Manitoba R3K 2G7 The above trust has been set up for John's daughter Brandy and son John III. We will always remember your big heart, dry sense of humour, jokes, prank gifts, your wine making skills, your love of John Wayne movies, the stories of your adventures through work and travel and last but not least, your famous cowboy boots. John, you were an amazing person and we will always hold you in our hearts forever. We would like to send a special thank you to Shane Neufeld and staff of Bardal Funeral Home.
