FRANCES ANN HUNTER (published on April 19, 2010)

FRANCES ANN HUNTER It is with great sadness we announce that Frances Ann Hunter (Milligan) passed away peacefully on April 15, 2010. Frances leaves to cherish her memory her son Ed and wife Luanne; grandchildren, Keri (Geoff) Renouf and Jaclyn Hunter; and sister Leila Woodward. She was predeceased by her husband Norman S. Hunter, her parents William and Clara Milligan, her brothers William and Russell and her sister Christine. Fran was born at Leslie, SK on August 25, 1921 and grew up on a farm near Wadena, SK. She served in the RCAF from 1942-1945. After the war, Fran and Norm married and had a hair salon/electrical business in Wadena, SK. They moved to Sault Ste. Marie, ON where she worked at T. Eaton Co. In 1960 they moved to Boissevain, MB where they owned and operated a clothing store. In 1974 they moved to Winnipeg, MB. Fran was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. In addition to operating their businesses and caring for her family, Fran spent many hours at her hobbies of petite point, needlework, sewing, paper toling and gardening. The family would like to thank the staff at the Victoria Hospital, Emergency and 4th Floor for the care and compassion you gave to Mom during her brief stay. Frances and her family would also like to thank her friends at Beauchemin Park Place for their thoughtfulness and assistance given to Mom. At Fran's request, a private family service will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Fran's memory to a charity of their choice. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
