KEITH BARRY JOHN STEELE (published on April 24, 2010)



KEITH BARRY JOHN STEELE October 9, 1958 - April 18, 2010 Keith came to Canada from Trinidad in 1970, with his parents, brothers and sisters. He attended General Wolfe and Daniel MacIntrye High School during which time he showed great athletic ability. One of Keith's first athletic accomplishments was being selected for the Manitoba Provincial Soccer Team. He then went on to represent Canada on the Junior National Soccer Team where he scored the winning goal against Mexico. Keith then embarked on a professional soccer career which included playing for the Minnesota Kicks and Toronto Metros-Croatia of the N.A.S.L. His love for soccer extended to many local club teams including Spitfire and Lucania. Keith leaves to mourn his passing his parents Wilma and Ampthill Steele, brothers Anthony (Janet), Garves, Burton (Pam), McKindley (Lena), Mevlyn, Leroy (Sue), and sisters Ingrid (Ray), and Vanessa (Jason), Aunt Jessica, many cousins, nieces and nephews, many, many friends and the two loves of his life, his daughters Shantelle and Shanika. Keith we love you dearly and will miss you always. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at 12:00 p.m. at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street. Reception to follow.
