TAYLOR V. STRATTON-WILKINSON (published on May 25, 2010)

TAYLOR V. STRATTON-WILKINSON In the early morning on May 21, 2010, with adoring parents by her side, Taylor V. Stratton-Wilkinson passed away. Taylor was and always will be an inspiration. Her short five years have been an absolute blessing. Taylor will forever be in our thoughts and hearts. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. She will be sorely missed by her parents Christopher and Dawn Wilkinson, as well as her brother Eric Wilkinson; grandparents Susan and Brian Stratton, Marylouise and Greg Wilkinson; her uncles Dale Stratton and James (Leanne) Wilkinson; great-grandmother Gladys Chrispin; great-aunt and uncle Wendy and Lorne Schaump, June Schaump; great-aunts Nancy Atchison, Joanne Holowec; cousins Mike and Kristy Holowec and family, Ainsley (Daryl) Champagne and family, Erin Holowec; aunt and uncle Angus Bell and their children Michael (Natalie), Ken (Trish), Doug (Leigh), Lori Ostermann, Brent and families. Taylor loved life. Even through the roughest times she smiled through it all! Her smile could light up any room. It was her smile alone that could capture anyone's heart in an instant. Her time at school with her friends was filled with many wonderful memories of freedom and ability. Thank you to Lorna and Barb for making anything and everything possible. Taylor loved to draw, paint, goof around, pet animals and bike, ski and run in her chariot. She was predeceased by her wonderful adoring aunty Jennifer Wilkinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Wilkinson, Tyler, Kaylee, and Alyssa Champagne, Evan and Makayla Holowec, Caden and Ryan Ostermann. A special thank you to all the children at Strathmillan Children's Center, the special caring nurses and doctors in PICU, and Leigh-Ann, Neil, Sheila, Bernie and the whole staff of health care professionals on CH4! We were treated with utmost respect and felt right at home... thank you. Service will be held Friday, May 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba Inc., CE501 840 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3A 1S1.
