DOREENE MILDRED BRAGER (published on May 29, 2010)

DOREENE MILDRED BRAGER (nee JONES) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Doreene Mildred Brager on Mother's Day, May 9, 2010 at 1:30 a.m. Doreene leaves behind those she loved and those who loved her...her loving friend and companion Bill Warning; her four children, Lesley Brager (Ian Rae), Lorraine Friesen (Bruce), Donna Wark (Ken), Andrew Brager; her grandchildren, Aaron Brager (girlfriend Brit), Jenny Nuaj (Damir), Rachel Scott (David), Caleb Friesen (Telsey), Eric Rae (Katie), Thalia Rae (Ashley Graham), Joshua Brager; her great-grandchildren, Keianna Solvason, Kohl Brager, Samuel and Hunter Nuaj, Sebastian Scott, Elijah, Joel and Monroe Friesen, Tyson and Mason Rae; Doreene's nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, her friends at bowling, her 50 years running poker friends, extended family and neighbours. Doreene is predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Mildred Jones, her sister Pat, her brother Donald and her always loved and loving husband Ronald Brager. Doreene will be remembered with joy as the fun loving person she always was. She will be remembered of by those who love her when they play a game of Scrabble, go camping, watch a beautiful sunset, gather around a table to feast, or stay up late just to visit into the quiet hours of the night. She will be remembered when the glance of a LP record is caught and the thought of macaroni and gold paint comes to mind, when laughter hits so hard your eyes water and your stomach hurts, when something adventurous is tried just because you can. She will be remembered when two hands are placed on either side of your cheeks, a kiss is firmly planted and you know you are loved. She will be remembered when we look at the made by Doreene's hands creations; when her great-grandchildren wear their numerous sweaters or are wrapped in her lovingly made blankets. Her love will be felt as her family continues to gather and grow...and she will be missed. We love you very much Gramma, G Ma, Gi Gi, Doe, Mom. The family would like to express our sincerest thanks to friends and relatives for their expressions of sympathy, to those who have dropped off food, flowers, cards, emails and phone calls to the family home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with a reception to follow. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
