DUTALINA MENESES (published on May 29, 2010)

DUTALINA MENESES With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, auntie, sister and best friend Dutalina Meneses, born June 20, 1925, who suddenly passed on May 25, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband Paulo Meneses and her sister Teresa Pacheco. Remaining to forever cherish her memory is her only son Jorge Meneses, and loving daughters: Tina Cooper; Maria and Tim Romanow, son Ryan; Rose and Lorne Brown, sons Darian and Justin. Her nieces: Lucia and Hermano Melo, sons Matthew and Carlos; Christina and Neil Makwaychuk, son Noah; nephew Antero Pacheco, and her only surviving sister Lourdes Faria and family in Terceira Azores, Portugal. Mom had many hardships in life but always conquered them with the inner strength she exemplified in life! Mom was a kind and gentle soul who always had a smile no matter how tough life was for her. Mom loved her church, family, friends and the wonders of life! Our mom's love and devotion is best stated in this poem! A MOTHER'S LOVE A mother's love is something that no one can explain. It is made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain. It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may. For nothing can destroy it or take that love away. It is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking, and it never fails or falters even though the heart is breaking. It believes beyond believing when the world around condemns, and it glows with all the beauty of the rarest, brightest gems. It is far beyond defining, it defies all explanation, and it still remains a secret like the mysteries of creation. A many splendoured miracle man cannot understand and another wondrous evidence of God's tender guiding hand! A private family service will be held at St. Augustines Church, 2028 West 7th Ave., Vancouver, BC on Tuesday, June 1 at 11:00 a.m. Mom, thanks for all the sacrifices you made for us kids! We will never forget you! Till we meet again! With all our love!
