JANICE BROWN (published on June 08, 2010)

JANICE BROWN (nee RAYNER) Died peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus on Saturday, June 5, 2010 in her 77th year. Dear mother of Clare Brown (Derek de Gannes) of Toronto and Chris Brown (Melanie) of Ajax. Loving grandmother of Garrett, Moira, Emma and Erica. Aunt of Jennifer Veitch and her family, John and Harry Donkin of Ottawa. Predeceased by her sister Priscilla Anne Veitch, her mother Margaret (Willson), and her father Capt. John Rayner. Janice was born in Winnipeg. A graduate of the University of Manitoba, she pursued a career in teaching. She shared her love of music and passion for the piano with her students for over 50 years. Living in London since 1966, she was active in the local chapter of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association. Her involvement in many recitals and O.R.M.T.A. events gave her great pleasure. Her generosity and volunteerism will be missed by many. A keen mind and adventurous spirit made her life an eclectic tapestry. Janice embraced art in many forms. In lieu of flowers, donations to Museum London would be appreciated, and can be made through London Cremation Services, (519) 672-0459 or online at www.londoncremation.com. Online condolences also welcomed. A celebration of Janice's life will be held at the Chapel at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 303 Riverside Dr., London, ON on Wednesday, June 9 at 12:00 noon. Wake to follow. To see a world in a grain of sand And heaven in a wild flower Hold infinity in the palm of your hand And eternity in an hour - William Blake
