JERRY WAYNE LARSON (published on June 12, 2010)

JERRY WAYNE LARSON It is with great sadness that we inform you of the sudden passing of Jerry Wayne Larson, at the age of 62. He passed away on June 5, 2010, while travelling in northern Saskatchewan. Jerry was predeceased by his mother Freida Larson and mother-in-law Agnes Clayton. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Helen; son Trevor and granddaughter Madison; daughter Dawn; father John; sister Marilyn; brother Orval (Jean); father-in-law Colin; sister-in-law Verna (Kerry) and brother-in-law Donald (Audrey); nephews Colin (family); Corey (Michelle and family) and Patrick; nieces Carey Ann (Tony and family); Donna (Blair and family); Sandra (Jamie and family); Heather (Carter and family) and Tara (Chad). Jerry worked for Sears Canada for over 30 years until he retired in 2004. After his retirement, Jerry enjoyed interacting with the students as a Lunch Time Supervisor at granddaughter Madison's school, Ecole Dugald. Jerry and Helen spent much of their spare time enjoying their involvement in the Wheaton Dog Club and the many friends they made at the numerous dog shows across the country. Jerry also dedicated time to growing a vast coin collection and could be found travelling back and forth to Saskatchewan to cheer on his favourite football team, the Saskatchewan Roughriders. While at home, Jerry and Trevor enjoyed watching Nascar racing on television. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Oakbank United Church, 582 Balsam Crescent, Oakbank, MB at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Interment will be a private family service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make donations to the Ecole Dugald School at 543 Holland Street, Dugald, Manitoba R0E 0K0. We don't grieve without first loving. We don't love without gaining more than we could ever lose.
