| ANNA DUECK Our loving mother, Anna Dueck, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 after a lengthy illness at the age of 91. Her children, Lillian Dueck, Ron and Gail Dueck, Ruth and Alan Hargrave, Mel and Judy Dueck, and her grandchildren, Brian Hargrave, Kirsten and Andy Dreiling, Cherissa Richards, Pierre Dueck, Dustin Dueck, Brandon and Sara Dueck, Jordan Dueck, and her great-grandchildren, Noah, Brenna and Braeden Hargrave and Ella and Julia Dreiling are left to celebrate Anna's exemplary life. Mother is survived by sister Elizabeth Friesen and brother Pete and Nora Kornelsen and many nieces and nephews. We give special thanks to Dr. Clayton Dyck and his colleagues at Kildonan Medical Centre, and the nurses and support staff at Seven Oaks Medical Hospital on Unit 12, 4th floor for our mother's extraordinary medical care. Mother was a truly nurturing, caring lady. When her kids flew the coop , she became a homemaker with Family Services after she and Dad moved to Winnipeg from Rosenort in the 70s. She delighted in cooking for family and especially baking, gardening and reading. She lived the life we read about in scriptures. Her friendships were studies in devotion. In the words of Solomon in Proverbs, She is the noble woman. Her worth is far above rubies. Viewing will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. The interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens with a memorial service to follow at Braeside Evangelical Mennonite Church, 1011 Munroe Avenue at 4:00 p.m. |
