ANNE DUBINSKY (published on June 26, 2010)

ANNE DUBINSKY (nee BOYKO) Suddenly and with deep sadness we announce the death of Anne Dubinsky on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 72 years. Remaining to forever cherish Anne's memory are her loving husband Joseph of 49 years of marriage; son Edward (Dorothy), Adam and Josie; sister Mary Bilowchuk; nieces Maureen Bilowchuk, Myrna (Martin) Pudlas, Jeffrey, Hannah of Prince George, BC. She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Zeweniuk; mother Maria and father Fred Boyko. Anne was born in Rycroft, Alberta but lived in Winnipeg with her beloved husband Joseph. She was a partner with her husband in their bowling business of 28 years, then retired in 2000 and devoted all her time to her two grandchildren, Adam and Josie. Anne received a heart transplant in November of 2001 which gave us nine extra precious years together. She loved her annual cruises with her husband and also looked forward to her yearly visits to BC to visit her sister Mary. Anne especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren with trips to Disney World; her last trip with them was in the spring of 2010. Divine Liturgy will be Celebrated on Monday, June 28 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 202 Harcourt Street with Rev. Fr. Ernie Hafichuk, presiding. Interment will follow in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. The family would like to express a special thank you to the nurses on floor 7 at the St. Boniface Hospital for their compassion during Anne's final hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne's memory can be made to the St. Boniface Heart transplant unit, c/o The St. Boniface Foundation, Rm. D1003 409 Taché Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.
