| KATHLEEN THOMAS (KAY) January 2, 1934 - July 3, 2010 Surrounded by her family, Kay passed away on July 3, 2010. Predeceased by her husband Geri, her parents Stanley and Astrid Thomas, infant sister Shirley, brothers-in-law Ed and Joe and her much loved dogs. Kay leaves behind to cherish her memory, her brother Doug (Lila); sisters Dell, Myrna, Lori and Daphne (Fred). She will be greatly missed by her extended family members, numerous nieces and nephews, whom she was very special to, as well as many friends and neighbours. In her early working years Kay was employed by Eaton's as an elevator operator supervisor, and in the accounts office. Before retiring in 1997 Kay spent 15 years as a dedicated Home Care Worker. Her family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Woman's Hospital 5th floor for the care she received. In honour and respect for Kay's wishes cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kay's memory to Cancer Care, 675 McDermot Ave., RM ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 9Z9.
