DAVID CHARLES WILLIAMS October 23, 1948 - July 3, 2010 With his family at his side on July 3, 2010 we lost a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many after a valiant battle with Myelodysplasia Syndrome (MDS). Dave leaves behind the love of his life, Lorraine; son Kent; daughter Kellie; grandsons Grayson and Logan; stepdaughter and son, Lindsay and Matt Orange; his boys' Teddy and Bear; his mother, Margaret Fraser; sister Randy Greenough; aunt Addie Williams; uncle Glen and aunt Jody Cawker. Dave was born and raised in Winnipeg. He began his first career with Safeway at the age of 16. Working up the ranks of management, he would be transferred to Burlington, Calgary and finally to Edmonton. After 25 years he retired and began what would become a highly successful career in Real Estate in the greater Edmonton area. Dave was also actively involved in the Canadian Progress Club, raising funds to enhance the lives of children in the community. Dave would serve two years as President and win club awards for his dedication and mentorship. He was also instrumental in forming a women's chapter of the club now known as CPC SILKS. He believed in living life to the fullest; working hard and playing hard. He was passionate and dedicated to his family, friends, career and sports. Dave made many friends along the way and will be greatly missed by those who knew him. The family would like to send appreciation to the Doctors, Nurses and Support Staff of Unit 57 and the Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic of the Tom Baker Centre in Calgary. They are truly an excellent team of caring and compassionate individuals.
