PATRICIA MARIE CUTTS (nee HANSEN) 1922 - 2010 On Friday, October 8, 2010 our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg MB, at the age of 88 years. Remaining to forever cherish Mom's memories are her six children, 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren: Robin (Jeana) of Winnipeg and children, Angela (Joel), Tim, Lisa (Jared), Amy (Chase) and Doug, and great-grandchildren Lincoln, Samuel and Dylan; Terry Weatherston (Alex) and children, Christine and Michael of Ottawa, ON; Joan Grumbles (John) of Allen, TX and children, Randy (Meganne), Jennifer (Scott), Carolyn (Thomas), Melissa (Joe) and James, and great-grandchildren Reaganne, Taylor, James, Ethan, Tristan, Aubrey, Benjamin, Johnny, Natalie, Joey, Elizabeth, Charlotte and Tyler; Ken (Patti) of Winnipeg and children, James (Jamie), Jill (Taylor), John (Alicia), Tom (Julie), Valerie (Chris) and Richard (Jacquie), and great-grandchildren Caleb, Sarah, Elizabeth, Matthew, Maggie, Jackson, Eden, Macy and Jacob; Pam Call (Parker) and children, David and Brianna of Grand Junction, CO; Christopher and son Christian of Toronto, ON; as well by sisters Viola Francis (Taber, AB), Melba Birck (Lethbridge, AB), Phyllis Anderson (Medicine Hat, AB) and Evelyn Lutes (Brookes, AB) and sister-in-law Lorraine Hansen of Taber, AB. She was predeceased by her parents and in 2001, loving husband Ken of 55 years of marriage; sisters Mildred Pearson, Lucille Parks and Jeanette Forchuk; brother Norman Hansen and infant grandson Christopher Call. Patricia was born on April 21, 1922 in Taber, AB to Louise and James Hansen. She was the fourth daughter of nine children. She worked as a hairdresser in Taber prior to serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. Mom later worked in the Bank of Commerce in Taber, AB where she met her husband Kenneth L. Cutts. They were married on February 15, 1946 and raised six children. With her husband's career, they lived in Taber, Stony Plain, Drumheller, Dawson Creek, BC, Calgary, Toronto and Winnipeg. Patricia was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in different Church callings, including working in the Toronto Temple. Patricia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was giving service to her family, often offering her wisdom, support and guidance. She was compassionate and generous. Mom was a wonderful cook, talented in fashion, sewing and decorating. She created many wonderful lifetime memories for all her children and grandchildren of very special holiday celebrations, family meals and gatherings. For those wishing to attend, there will be a viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20 in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue at Sharp Boulevard. Interment will follow at 10:30 a.m. in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue. Patricia's Funeral Service will then be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 505 Academy Road, Winnipeg. Our family wishes to convey our appreciation to the Assiniboine South Home Care and fifth floor staff of Grace Hospital.
