WILLIAM GOERTZEN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Goertzen at the Grace Hospital on Thursday, October 21, 2010. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Dorothy, daughters Patricia (Edward), Sandra and Elaine (Frank), grandson Jake (Charlene), granddaughter Faith, and great-granddaughters Kathryn and Lillian. Born in Southampton, England on April 4, 1927, he studied Engineering at the University of Manitoba, and worked at Bristol Aerospace and Motor Coach Industries until retirement in 1995. His interests were numerous. He loved travel, motorcycles, food and most importantly, family. A talented baritone soloist, he performed widely and won many awards. He studied aviation with a passion and was considered an authority on the First World War and the Second World War. Family and friends are welcome to join in a celebration of Dad's life on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at The Western Canada Aviation Museum, Flight Deck, 958 Ferry Road.
