MARGARET NADLER (published on October 30, 2010)

MARGARET NADLER 1927 - 2010 Born to Anna and Peter Fast in El Trebol, Durango, Mexico. Life there was hard due to the ill health of her parents. Looking for a better life the family moved to Winkler, Manitoba in 1952. Margaret moved to Winnipeg in 1966 to live with her sister Maria and her husband Waldemar. Maria passed away in 1974, a victim of cancer. She asked Margaret to look after Waldemar and their son Stefan. Margaret and Waldemar married in 1976. Little Stefan had a new mother who loved him as he was her own child. Margaret spent her working years in retail sales. She was happy to meet new people. She loved music, poetry and being a wife, mother and doing her household chores. Above all, she loved her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She suffered due to arthritis and lately a shortness of breath. On October 24, 2010 the Lord peacefully called his tired child home at the Seven Oaks Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents (1954 and 1955), her sister Maria, her brothers Peter (1979 in Mexico), Heinrich (1997 in Minneapolis). She leaves to mourn her passing her husband Waldemar, son Stefan and her sister Annie Goertzen, the eight Goertzen children and 10 Peter Fast children in Mexico. Funeral service on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Mennonite Church, Stafford and Carter. Viewing on Monday, November 1 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bethel Mennonite Church, and also prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mennonite Central Committee or the Manitoba Lung Association.
