FRANCES ROSE PARENTEAU (published on October 30, 2010)

FRANCES ROSE PARENTEAU (nee CHARTRAND) 1947 2010 With heartfelt sadness the family announces the passing of our Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, God Mother, Sister, Auntie, Cousin and Friend on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 63 years. Frances will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her beloved husband, Stanley Parenteau of 45 years of marriage; her puppy dog Josh (her baby); daughter Diana (Doyle); grandchildren, Harlee (Michelle), Vikkie (David), Brandon (Kayla); great-grandson Cassius; great-granddaughter Kassidee; son Melvin (Marni); grandchildren, Bret, Skye and Serene; son Alvin aka Champ (Betty) and Champ's daughter Patricia whom she all loved dearly. She was predeceased by her Mother (1994) and infant daughter (1982). Mom and Dad had a lot of wonderful times together. They enjoyed attending hockey and football games and other sports where their grandchildren played. They loved dancing, playing cards, going to the McPhillips Street Station, playing Sports Select and watching the horse races and football. They enjoyed the simple pleasure of being together. Mom was a very beautiful lady inside and out. She was a very kind hearted person with a great sense of humour who never got upset. She was a smart woman who gave her children advice. Even though Mom suffered and was in pain for so long she never complained. We all feel blessed that we had her for as long as we did. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. On Wednesday, November 3, 2010, Frances' Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue. In keeping with Mom's wishes, she will be brought home to be with Dad. It's all the simple things you've done that make our lives worthwhile, It's all the love you've shared with us and how you made us smile, It's how you brought us laughter every time we were down, Life was so much easier just having you around. Though your presence is gone forever and your hands we cannot touch, Still we have so many memories of the one we loved so much. Your memory is a keepsake, with which we will never part, God has you in His keeping; we have you in our hearts. Rest in Peace Mom...Free of Pain... We Love You So Much.
