LOUIS HINCE (published on October 30, 2010)

LOUIS HINCE Peacefully with his family by his side Louis passed away on October 26, 2010 at St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 88 years. Louis was predeceased by his children Norman and Micheline, grandson Guy, and son-in-law Claude Bohémier. Remaining to cherish his loving memory are his wife of 64 years of marriage, Marie Jeanne (Proulx), his children Eveline (Doug) Cross, Marcel (Jeannette), Paul (Jeannette), Louise (Paul) Mercer, Suzanne (Barry) Moss, (Paulette), Jacqueline Bohémier, Simone, Georgette (Lloyd) Litke, Réal (Sandra), Céline (Michel) Fournier, Thérèse (John) Hince Siwicki and Nicole (Dan) Tymko, 41 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He also leaves his siblings Alphonse, Adèle and Henri (Cécile). Dad was born on June 11, 1922 in St. Claude, Manitoba to Edmond and Marie Louise Hince. Dad's words of wisdom were always If it's worth being done, it's worth being done right . Or, more notable in his native Tongue, Si ça vaut la peine d'être fait, ça vaut la peine d'être bien fait . Louis, a dad with many talents and always a pleasure to work with, was a talented barber, a devoted orderly and a hard labouring construction worker. Anything he undertook was always done with great pride, skill and remarkable workmanship. He was no stranger to hard work and he instilled that trait in all his children. Dad was an avid gardener and Mother Nature's greatest admirer. Whether it was to tend the flowerbeds or simply watch the birds fly, he was appreciative of all life's little gifts. Nonetheless, Dad's greatest sense of love, commitment and pride in life was his family. Dad we love you, we will miss you dearly. A viewing will take place between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on November 1, 2010 at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1007 St. Mary's Road, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. presided by Father Kevin Bettens. Interment will take place at the Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens following the service. All are welcome to join the family in silent prayer before the service at 9:00 a.m. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
