ELEANOR LOUISE WIEBE (nee FROESE) March 13, 1947 - January 9, 2011 With heavy sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful and precious Mom and Omi/Grandma. Mom passed away peacefully, with Dad by her side, on January 9, 2011 at the Concordia Hospital. Mom was predeceased by her father Henry Froese. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband John, of 46 years; her children Wesley (Sherry) Wiebe, Robert (Tammy) Wiebe, Ronald Wiebe and Debby (John) Hertz; and her precious grandchildren Heather, Ryan, Hayley, Amy, Brayden, Michael, Colin, Matthew, Jadine and Blake; her mother Elizabeth Froese (Janzen); her brothers, sisters and their families, Peter (Lynn) Froese, Anne Dubas, Bernard (Barb) Froese, Barb (Wilf) Kieres, Wilma (Ray) Winberg and Wendy (Wayne) Turner, along with countless other family and friends who were blessed to know her. Mom was born on March 13, 1947 in Deloraine, Manitoba. She met Dad and married on July 24, 1964. They moved to Winnipeg and then settled on an acreage near Lockport, Manitoba. Mom worked for Canada Safeway and then found her true love which was china painting. She created countless works of art and has touched the lives of many people through her passion for painting. Her signature represented not just a painting, but a gift of love, as each piece was signed Love Eleanor . Mom also loved flowers and landscaped a garden paradise in her yard. Family was very important to mom and she cherished the time spent together. She created wonderful life and was a magnet for love and friendship. She will be dearly missed and will remain close to the hearts of all her family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 14th at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home in Selkirk with Rev. Brad Elliott officiating. Interment to follow at the St. Clements Cemetery.
