| FELIX GAWARAN PRAGIDES, JR. Felix (Toto) Gawaran Pragides, Jr., 58, died Friday, January 21, 2011. He was born to the late Felix Pragides, Sr. and Asuncion Gawaran Pragides on August 2, 1952, in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. He relocated to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada around 1980. Felix is survived by his eight siblings and their respective spouses (as well as their respective children and grandchildren): Benjamin Pragides and Flor Pragides; Leticia Pragides; Roger Pragides and Lucy Pragides; Purita San Miguel (née Pragides) and Ado San Miguel; Estrelita Ugali (née Pragides) and Alfredo Ugali; Rufina Nava (née Pragides) and Manuel Nava; Evelita (Nene) Aringo (née Pragides) and Alfredo Aringo; and Marilyn Celestino (née Pragides) and Lauro Celestino. A special thank you, to all the staff at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre and Holy Family Nursing Home who provided Felix with their care and services and to the administration at Maple Leaf Foods for their continued support. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to either the Manitoba Schizophrenia Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Lamay / Vigil Prayers will be held at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. on Sunday, January 30, 2011. Lamay will commence at 6:00 p.m. with Vigil Prayers being said at 7:30 p.m. with Monsignor Enrique Samson Jr. officiating. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, January 31 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. with Monsignor Enrique Samson Jr. Celebrant. Interment will occur in the Philippines at a later date.
