| ELIZABETH (BETTY) MUIR (nee SPEIRS) 1914 - 2011 Mother of Mae McDonald The family of Betty Muir is extremely saddened to announce her passing at St. Boniface Hospital on January 21, 2011. She was predeceased by her husband Tommy, in 1951, after only six years of marriage. Betty is survived by her only child Mae McDonald and son-in-law Mike, her loving grandchildren Leigh (Patrick), Gail (Kelly) and Kim (Brad), her beloved great-grandchildren Lochlan, Callum, Greyson, Jude, Sadie, Aidan and Parker. Also by Mike's children Colleen (Mark), Declan, Dermot (Kim) and Mike's grandchildren Bryanna, Ashley, Brodie and Rorie. She is also survived by her brother Jim, sister-in-law Hilda, one nephew and one niece all in Winnipeg and by four nieces and one nephew in Scotland Thank you to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital 6E, especially Kristen and also to the very caring staff at Meadowood Manor. Special thank you to Rev. Brenda Fraser, Pastor David and Mrs. Darlene Holland and to Valerie Wilson who was a faithful visitor Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29 at Kildonan Community Church. Thank you mum for being such a good example of how to live life. Always putting others before yourself, taking pleasure in simple things and having a thankful heart. You will be in our hearts always.
