LEYNE MILLER LAGUNERA (published on February 24, 2011)



LEYNE MILLER LAGUNERA Peacefully, with her family by her side, Leyne passed away on February 21, 2011 at the age of 83 years. Leyne will be sadly missed by her husband and loving friend Norberto, son Edwin (Julie) and their children Matthew and Nathan; in Mississauga a son-in-law Chito Cruz and his children Christine (Neil) Umali and their children Sean, Evan, John (Irene) Cruz and their daughter Alexis; as well as many nieces and nephews from the Philippines and USA. She was predeceased by her daughter Maria Elena Cruz (1987) son Eduardo Lagunera (1979). Leyne grew up in Pangasinan, Philippines. She enjoyed growing and nurturing exotic plants and cooking. She earned a certificate from the government of the Philippines for her achievements. She took this enthusiasm and strong will with her which helped her and her family when they moved to Canada. Leyne's family would like to thank all the staff of Health Sciences hemo-dialysis unit for caring. Lamay/Vigil Prayers will be held at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. on Saturday, February 26 and Sunday, February 27, 2011. Lamay will commence at 6:00 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be said both evenings, Saturday at 8:30 p.m. and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. with Monsignor Enrique Samson JR. officiating. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin Street, with Monsignor Enrique Samson JR. celebrant.
