ROBERT PHILIP DUNN (published on March 05, 2011)



ROBERT PHILIP DUNN Bob Dunn, aged 71 years, passed away suddenly in his home in Winnipeg on February 27 2011. Bob was born to parents Christopher and Annie Dunn on June 28, 1939 in Winnipeg, MB where he grew up with older siblings Ruth and Ann on Fleet Avenue. Beginning in childhood, Bob had a great love of animals and cared for many pets throughout his life. After marrying Dona Sweetland, Bob started a family in 1976 which relocated to Regina, SK for several years during his daughters' childhood. Moving back to Winnipeg in 1986, Bob became a residential real estate appraiser and in the years to come helped create Rempel, Wagner Dunn Real Estate Appraisers Ltd. Bob had a great passion for horseracing and spent many an evening at Assiniboia Downs. He enjoyed watching the Grey Cup and Hockey Championships, playing golf, swimming, investing in the stock market, and being outdoors. He will be always remembered for his kindness, generosity and forgiving nature. Bob was predeceased by his parents Christopher and Annie Dunn and his niece Dana Zboroluk of Winnipeg. Left to cherish his memory are his children Janet Granda (Phil) of Morden and Katherine Dunn of Boston; his two sisters Ann Booth and Ruth Zboroluk of Winnipeg; Dona Dunn of Winnipeg; niece Tannis Zboroluk of Vancouver; nephew Chris Zboroluk of White Rock, and the Sweetland family: Norm and Jean Sweetland, Gail Sweetland, Norma Sweetland, Bob Sweetland (Ainsley), Trevor Sweetland, Madeline Sweetland and Ian Sweetland, all of Winnipeg. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home in Winnipeg. Donations may be made in his memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
