LONGINA BYZIO On March 2, 2011, at 3:15 a.m. Longina Byzio, Laluna', 78 years, was lifted with light, peace, a smile and joyful energy from a painful body. Like a sparrow anticipating spring she is excited, with serenity settles on the cool breeze. Mama loved children, animals, cooking, The Price is Right , laughing, arts and crafts, red flowers and her daughter Eva. She grew up in Poland during the war, came to Canada in 1966. She enjoyed working, sewing, being a housewife and tarot card reading. She was married to Jan for 44 years. She has gone to meet her twin sister Danuta, mother Helena and father Alfred. Thank you to Dr. David Meyrowitz for long-term care, MICU at Health Sciences Centre, especially nurse Helen M. (Chocolate Chip Cookie), Dr. Patricia Pittman, Manitoba Clinic, Dr. David Han, Dr. Josh, Health Sciences Centre Spiritual Services and Hairstyling, Baba group of Nurses on GD4, Heather, Sarah, Caio and Lalaine. Dementia gives you everything and nothing. Mama said Nuff , meaning Enough . Now she is free and will have more. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. Following a reception interment will be in Brookside Cemetery.
