RICHARD NELSON DOMENCO (published on March 28, 2011)

RICHARD NELSON DOMENCO July 21, 1936 March 25, 2011 It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of my beloved friend and husband, Richard. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Dalphine, of 53 years and his most loved and cherished pet, Shadow. He is also survived by brothers John, Allan (Kelly) and Larry; sisters Janet Ahoff, Patricia Muska; sisters-in-law Barnola Domenco of Vancouver, Janet Domenco, Marlene (Ron) Smith, Katherine Hepburn all of Winnipeg and many nephews, nieces and friends. He was predeceased by his father Norman Michael; mother Anne; brothers Michael, Edward, Nicholas, Lloyd and Roger; sisters Katherine Antonio, Mary Heath, Anne Bashuky and Doreen Tarko. Richard was a hard working person who cared and respected all people and life. He held himself and those around him to high standards. At his work place and at home he could be characterized by gentleness, wisdom, and compassion. His working years were mainly in construction that he took so much pride in but was never afraid to try other working areas for a change and challenge. Gardening, fishing and anything outdoors were his great comfort and relaxation. He cared so much for all animals big and small. Sincere thanks to the doctors and staff at CancerCare Manitoba and the wonderful care and help from everyone in Palliative Care at St. Boniface Hospital. I wish to thank the wonderful people who went above and beyond and were always so near and willing to help us get through this hard time of Richards illness. Special thanks to my sister and brother-in-law Marlene and Ron Smith, our wonderful nephews Richard Domenco and Rocky Chaika. In keeping with Richards wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held at this time. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be, He put His arms around you And whispered, Come to Me. You did not deserve what you went through So he took you home to rest. God's garden must be beautiful For He only takes the best. Forever remembered, always loved. Dalphine and Shadow CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
