| KATHERINE PETRYSZYN It is with deep sadness I announce the passing of my beloved mother, Katherine (Kateryna) Petryszyn at age 87 on March 25, 2011 after a lengthy illness at Holy Family Home. Kateryna leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, daughter Annette (Nusia). She was predeceased by her beloved husband Mychajlo in 1996; her parents; brothers and sisters during the war in W. Ukraine. Kateryna was a very loving and devoted wife, who gave of herself unselfishly to her family and friends. Mom was extremely proud of her Ukrainian heritage and was deeply involved with the Ukrainian community and church. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30 at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. with Fr. B. Lukie, C.Ss.R. officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. I wish to thank the Sisters of SSMI, Dr. T. Babick, and all the wonderful nursing staff of 2A, especially Agnes, Krystyna and Maria, her main caregivers in the final years at Holy Family Home. Their excellent care and devotion will always be remembered. Flowers are gratefully declined. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to Pomich Ukraina, Holy Family Home or a charity of one's choice. MOM You can only have one mother- Loving, kind and true. No other friend in all the world, Will be so true to you. For all her loving kindness, She asked for nothing in return. If all the world deserted us- To our mother we could turn. For those of you who have a Mother- Treasure her with care. For you will never know what heartache is, Till you see that she is not there.
