SHIRLEY DEMEDASH Sadly, on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, in her 68th year, Shirley Margaret-Rose Demedash, nee Gniazdoski (James) peacefully started on her last journey home. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and schooled at Luxton Grade School and St. John's High School, she later worked for the Canadian Wheat Board and Ford of Canada. She then moved to Burlington in 1977 and worked for Woods, Gordon Co. and later with Environment Canada until her retirement in 2005. Predeceased by her parents Margaret and Walter Gniazdoski, and brother Jim, all of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Shirley leaves to mourn her, her loving companion and best friend Joseph Pim, sister Dorothy, loving relatives and many friends. Shirley loved her Ukrainian heritage and was very active in her church. She was also Bazaar Coordinator, Vice President and President of the UCWLC of Burlington and Visitor-of-the-Sick. Shirley will be interred at the Elmwood Cemetery, Winnipeg with her loving parents and brother on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. For those who wish, expressions of sympathy to the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated. Don't cry for me, don't miss me, for I am where I have always wanted to be - with my Mother, my Father, my Brother, my Heavenly Father and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Please don't forget me. www.smithsfh.com
