MARIAN MINUK (published on September 10, 2011)

MARIAN MINUK (nee DIAMOND) August 10, 2011 How inadequate words can be? How do they capture your beautiful smile or loving eyes? How can they express the depth of love that you and Bert shared? Or the 25 years of friendship and laughter? How can they express the ways in which you always helped your family when we needed you, or the sheer joy you felt at our achievements and simchas? How can they express your love of family or the pride you had in your grandchildren? Can words alone adequately convey your dedication to Judaism, your love of this community and our Synagogue, Congregation Etz Chayim, or express the meaning that years of volunteering and giving to others had for you? How can they begin to express the woman who was a dear friend and whose absence will never be filled? Can words alone capture the strength of your character or the joy you felt in life? You lived your life to the fullest. You were grace and beauty, gentleness and strength. You were loving and giving, appreciative and humble. You were dedicated to your profession and its professionalism. You worked for over 40 years in real estate and property management. You earned the title of Certified Property Manager. You were a Fellow of the Real Estate Institute and a member of the Winnipeg and Manitoba Real Estate Boards. You served as President of the Real Estate Institute which serves to maintain and promote the professionalism of its practitioners through education and research. Now when we remember you it is with tears and loneliness. In time, we will be comforted by your love for us and 80 years of memories to cherish. You will forever be loved and missed by your loving husband, Bert; By your children, Leah (Meir) Ghelfenstein of Tel Aviv, Israel and Alan (Ronit) Keith of Toronto; by your stepsons, Randy (Linda) Minuk; Earl Minuk and Harvey Minuk of Toronto; daughter-in-law, Pam Minuk. Grandchildren, Hunter Keith of Toronto; Leigh and Lana Minuk; Laura, Ainsley, Erin and Melissa Minuk. Sisters and brothers-in-law, Dr. Harry Wiseman of Gainesville, FL; Doris (Keppe) Steinman; Esther Minuk of Toronto; Zena Minuk; Ruth Racklin and Sam (Ruby) Minuk. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, among them Linda (Auby) Bloomfield, Art (Coreen) Stoller of Bagley, MN; Shirley Fromson; Arnold Wiseman of Miami, FL; Sheldon (Deborah) Wolfenson; Lynn and Marla Wolfenson. Cousin, Merle Gelb of Beverly Hills, CA. She is predeceased by three sisters, Esther Wiseman, Bertha Stoller and Rose Wolfenson and four half siblings, Morris, Dave and Sam Diamond; Fannie Robbins. May your life and memory always be cherished.
